Installation Instructions for Library Extras
Alice
for Windows
Download and Run Library Extras For Alice (Current Release v30303 3 March 2013)
· Double click on the link above.

Click RUN if prompted by your browser until the
following window is displayed.

Click UNZIP to install the Library Extras
components directly into L:\OASIS\AOASIS and then run the program.
Note: If Alice is NOT
installed in the directory L:\OASIS, you will need to change the Unzip To
Folder so the files get UnZipped into the AOASIS folder of your Alice
system. The automatic Running of the program will not work. Create a Shortcut
as described below with appropriate changes that match the location for your
Alice system.

Click OK. Library Extras will run automatically.
Note: Library Extras will not run under 64 bit Windows 7 as it is a 16 bit executable.
Creating a Shortcut
If you want to run the program again without having to download it each time, create a shortcut with the following characteristics:

Please read these instructions carefully! Do NOT save the downloaded file directly to a floppy disk.

Library Extras for OASIS is distributed as a WINIMAGE file. Running the downloaded WINIMAGE file creates an update floppy disk that can be used to install the program.
- Download the installation file and save it to the hard disk. Make a note of the name and the location where the file has been saved. e.g. C:\Windows\desktop\L1_50505.exe
- Run the downloaded program by finding it using Windows Explorer and double clicking on the program to run it.
- When prompted, insert a blank 3.5" 1.4Mb floppy disk in the A: drive and click OK. WINIMAGE will format the disk and convert it into an installation floppy disk.
- Use this floppy disk to update OASIS.
OASIS Version 2.x :
- L1 - Update System / A1 - Update (note: O1 - Head Office Floppy will NOT load this disk)
OASIS Library Version 3.x
- Q1 - Update System / A1 - Update
OASIS Library Version 4.x
- Exit to DOS
- Change to the drive letter OASIS is installed on (frequently F:)
- Type CD \OASIS
- Type SET FD=A:
[Enter],
SET HD=F: [Enter]
(substitute the appropriate letters for the Floppy disk and Hard disk drive being used) - Type A:UPDATE
